Seven nesting boxes line one wall. The hen nesting is a Rhode Island Red, Butterscotch, and the Polish is Bethany the one-winged chicken!
The other Polish, Whoopi, is eating from our hanging feeder.
Our White Rock rooster, Cole, had to be separated from Bruiser and Fabio (for their sake...) and the hens, because he's so huge. But he's as gentle as can be.......just big.

Chicken Coop
This is a picture of our chicken coop. The blooming tree is a Bradford Pear. On each side is a run; one holds the hens/Silkies & Old English, the other holds our big White Rock rooster, Cole.
This is Bella the Ameraucana hen. She lays at least one green egg every day.
We keep our food/scratch in metal trash cans to keep it safe. Look closely behind the bigger can. What is it? The Silkie hen, Paris!
This is the Silkie rooster, Fabio. He is so full of himself!

Co-op Chicks
Today we went to the local Co-op for some layer feed and guess what we saw there? Little baby chicks!! They were SOOOO super cute. There were Black Sex Links, Rhode Island Reds, New Hampshire Reds, and Barred Rocks. The sign said they were all pullets and I would have loved to get some, but our other chicks are coming on March 24, so they would be too old. Oh well. Maybe antother time. Well, later!
